Isn't this the cutest punkin you ever did see? He was such a trooper and a cutie. He garnered his Momma quite a good bit of loot. lol.
This was a low-budget halloween (ok, it was a NO -budget halloween. lol) so the kids wore their favorite costumes from the past . They were just as cute as ever. For the first time, we turned our lights off and didn't hand out candy. It was a pretty laid back night. Livvy went out with her friends family trick or treating . I took the 2 younger boys out with one of our neighbors and her kids. It was late by the time we got out so a lot of houses had already run out of candy. I had to pick Josiah up from practice at 6 and then when we got back , we had to wait for our friends. Next year, I don't think I'll do that. It was a lot of walking with only maybe 30% of the houses having their lights on or having candy. But all in all, everyone had fun. Josiah went over to his friends neighborhood and dressed as Ali G. It was late by the time he got there so he only got to go to about 4 houses. But Olivia, bless her heart, went through her candy when she got home and made a pile for Josiah (of his favorite candies) and a pile for her Daddy (who was not feeling well and had gone to bed instead of out with us). Then she made sweet notes for them and put Josiah's on his bed and Daddy's in a bowl. She thought of that totally on her own and it was contagious, spurring Liam to do the same. It was nice to see them thinking of their loved ones and being generous with , of all things, Halloween candy. I was proud. Now, we have to get ready for our trip up north because we need to leave this morning. I'm wiped out. lol But excited about seeing our family and my old friends from high school at the reunion.
