Praising God for a brand new day! I have to make this brief because I have an appointment in Alexandria this morning. I really need to look into a small studio apartment or something up there. lol
I went to the orthopedic doctor yesterday....the big REVEAL! And...... (cue the drum roll, please).... NO BONE INFECTIONS! YAY! However, the tumor is still there, lodged in my right hip joint... BOO! But on the bright side, the tumor has not changed in size and he is still leaning strongly on it being benign. Works for me. Just to be on the safe side, he says, I am being sent to M.D. Anderson to a bone oncologist there. I had no clue where MDA was. I told him that I was from Baltimore and this is a whole new world for me down here in da South. His face lit up and he said, "Oh, if Tricare would pay for you to go to Hopkins, I'd send you to Dr Frazeca. He's the best bone doctor in the country and trained the rest of us." Well, dang. How can I get Tricare to pay for that trip? :-) I'm awful homesick for my family. And my ORIOLES are on a ROLL! :-)
Okay, anyway, back to the real world. lol I have to go to Houston to M.D. Anderson and have a biopsy of the tumor. My doctor fully believes there is nothing to be concerned about but would rather err on the side of caution. I concur. Besides, you know what was going through my mind? ..... ROAD TRIP! I love me some road trips! Trying to talk to Dear Baby Daddy into meeting us there and having some family time with the kiddos. Just might could work. :-)
Have a gorgeous, productive, splendiferous day, my dears! And remember to smile at those who seem like they least deserve it. If nothing else, you'll confuse the heck out of them. Hee hee
