"You can love someone with all your heart, for all the right reasons......and in a moment, they can choose to walk away....LOVE THEM ANYWAY." (Martina McBride)
We got up to go work at the S.A.D.D. Rummage Sale at the high school (Josiah is an officer in the club) and well, doesn't look like that is happening. He is heartbroken and can barely speak. He blames himself. He needs a lot of prayer. Around this time last year, she broke up with him, too. (the same week Clinton walked out on our family) This is his first girlfriend. He thought he'd marry her. It is so hard, as a mother, to watch....and hear....he's a loud griever. He loves her so much. She is a sweet girl. I love her and pray for her. She just needs to find her own way right now. That's understandable. I'm not mad at her. This is part of life.
But........oh. my. heart........
Julie, you mentioned getting him to read the Love chapter in Corinthians....well, he is well acquainted with it. In fact, when I got my tattoo, I let him get one (his 17th bday present) and he wanted to get that. He wanted the whole thing, written in Hebrew (yeah, not enough money or skin for that one) so he just got the reference with the "i" s made to look like blood drops. When the tattoo guy asked him what the meaning of the blood drops were (are you serious?), Josiah told him it was for the love

He's on the phone now with his best friend in New York. Thank God. They are like brothers even though Mark moved north last year.

I haven't stopped praying since I heard about this yesterday. What a precious boy you have.
Bless his heart. Life is so challenging sometimes. I pray God gives him peace.
I'd like to say we get more perspective as we grow older... but sometimes hurt just hurts.
Still, if God wants the two of them together, He will work it out, and in His time. There is some comfort in that. Hang in there, Momma.
