"Oh What a Beautiful Mornin'....

....oh what a beautiful day. I got a beautiful feelin', ev'rything's goin my way...!"

Alright, sorry, had to get that out of my system. But seriously.....it is gaw-geous here today. Perfect temp. Blue skies. Nice breeze coming through the windows. Hmmm, can't get enough of fresh air and sunshine. ONLY if the temperature is right. Hate that humidity. That was one of the awesome things about living in Alaska....no humidity. Here? not so much. I hope it's this nice tomorrow. We're supposed to go to the pumpkin patch. Couldn't make it today because the car wasn't ready. Woohoo, getting 4 new tires put on before our trip up north. Pretty sad that the most exciting thing to happen to me right now is getting 4 new tires (& I'm pretty psyched about it, too. lol).

It has been raining here for a couple of days which was actually refreshing. The grass has been so dry. I love a good rainy day. The breakthrough of sunshine after a few days of rain is always so sweet. Plus, my energy level has been near nonexistent these past couple of weeks, not because of the rain, though. I haven't been taking my iron pills or my allergy meds (need to call dr to refill, keep forgetting). That's the thing about being an old fart. You can't go without your vitamins or regular, balanced meals, rest or fluids. A hundred years ago when I was a young woman, I could eat junk for days (not that I did, I liked to eat healthy most of the time) or barely eat anything at all, not take vitamins, barely sleep and drink coffee or tea (and yes, wine) constantly and still have more energy than I knew what to do with (although, I always found something to do, not always something "good"). I just ran on fumes if I had to. I had an internal energy reserve. But NOW.....I have to constantly fuel my energy from outside sources or there's something I have to DO to ensure that I keep going (yeah, there's something I have to do about that, too, to make sure I KEEP GOING. lol).

It takes a lot of work being old. Ach! So much to remember. And then, I have these 57 kids that require me to stay on my toes at all times. lol I'm too old for this stuff. :-) One good thing about having a baby in old age is that I have excuses to nap each day. lol

Just thinking about it all is exhausting me, I think I have time to go squeeze in a nap before bedtime. :-0

p.s. 2 firsts at our house: Aidan's bottom tooth finally popped through (after 2 months of sopping wet teething). Yay, his first tooth! and second, Olivia is going to her first sleepover. I gave the girl's mother our number in case all does not go well. :-) Josiah is going to a sleepover/camp out or something with the youth group. Hm, if we can just get someone to take Liam and Aidan......GRANNY, where are you? lol

Hee. .. I'd take them in a heartbeat, but I'm a bit too far away.

Love this post. So positive and upbeat.

When's your trip???
