Have had some interesting conversations with Baby Daddy.   Early morning.  Late evening.  Woman trouble.... yup, he needs someone to talk to about woman trouble.  And the woman in question?  The one he left me and the kids for..... Point 5.  Now, of course, he won't admit that she had anything to do with him not coming back to us....but I know the big picture.  She moved out a few months ago & has moved on with others, but seems to be trying to keep him on the back burner... just in case....  Interesting that he is coming to me for advice on how to get over her. 

He was here 2 weeks ago, staying in a hotel, and we got along really well.  First time in a VERY long time we were relaxed around each other and actually ENJOYING each others company.  Worked well together to take care of the kids.  The visit was a reminder of some things that we actually did well together.   And it was nice.  Real nice.

He admitted yesterday that he thought I was doing a good job with the kids and that the kids being so amazing was no small tribute to me.  Brought tears to my eyes.  Finally.... validation from him on my mothering skills.  Sure beats when he hyperfocuses on one small thing, blowing it up huge, and saying I'm a danger to the kids.  Crazy.  He finally admitted that he does that, too. :-)
