Love Forgives

Okay, let's try this again.  Good words are worth repeating, right?  And who doesn't need reminders about what God's view of forgiveness and love is all about?  I know I do.  Every day in every way.  I know that my Sweetie is  happy that I go back to that when I do that crazy woman thing I'm prone to do.... flare up at first emotional reaction to something, then have to go back and eat crow and ask forgiveness.  :-)  But my baby loves me, quirks & all.... so it's all good.

Okay, my FB friend, Mike Clark.... gets a lot of wisdom and insight from the Lord.  He has humbly given me permission to repost some of his words...... really, God's words... to work within us.  :-)

Let me try his post on love and forgiveness again:

" Love forgives.  Love doesn't hold a grudge or continue to make the person feel guilty, it gives another chance & assumes the best of those who wronged you.  Genuine love forgives many wrongs, not just the first one.  If you have friends suffering from the consequences of their actions, why not reach out in love today to help bring them healing?  God will take care of disciplining them.  He asks you simply to love the people around you."

On a regular basis, I have to remind myself that I have CHOSEN to forgive Clint.  I might not feel the forgiveness "feelings" but I can stand on the commitment that I made to God....and that was to take him out of  the "cage" I kept him in, in my heart, only letting him "out" every now and then to "smack" him around for the things he did to hurt me and the children, and to actually PRAY BLESSING for him.   The greatest blessing to pray for him...and the one in which everything else hinges ... is to know Jesus in a way he never did before.... intimately, personally, trustingly (I don't think that's a word...lol...but it's my blog and I'll make up words to suit my needs if I want to!  LOL).

It's late and I've got to get to bed.  I have so much more to say about .... life and love and liberty and the pursuit of happiness...  Tomorrow is a brand-new day so hopefully I will have time.....and "cer-ablity"....lol...remember that one I made up a long time ago?  Stands for "cerebral abillity".  :-)  Nite, y'all. :-)  Peace out.....as my old buddy, Ryan, used to say.
