Oopsy! I guess details would be nice, huh? :-) I was in a rush, at my friend's and didn't have time to write more because I had to get out the door and go drop off the retainer to the attorney (that's an amazing story, in itself, but I'll have to tell that one later).
Busy, busy times in this family. Shew! I don't know where I'm going to fit in a 35 hr work week into an already exhausting life. lol Okay, so it's not the most glamorous of jobs but I am excited about it. I actually applied for this job at the end of August and they just got around to calling back. I get to do what I've been doing for years but now I'll get PAID for it (get your mind out of the gutter. lol). The job is with one of the hotels here on Post, doing housekeeping. Yup, I'm going to get PAID to do housekeeping. But I'll accomplish MORE because no one will be saying, "Mom, I need....." At least I hope not. lol The hours are set in stone and fit perfectly into our lives. I don't have to worry about them changing. I will have Christmas off, thank God, but don't know yet when I start or which weekends I'll work. I'll drop the kids off at school and Aidan off at my friends' house in the mornings, the kids will go to an after-school program and I'll be home in time to pick Josiah up on the days he has clubs or practice. And I will still be available for them in the evenings. I'll work every other weekend and have 2 days off during that week. I'm happy about that because I'll still be able to participate in things at school, get them to the dentist or doctors, etc. I was told that there is room for advancement, also, to a supervisor position, etc. which is fine by me because that just makes me see dollar signs. lol
It has been a good week! Actually, December in general, has been pretty darn sweet so far! :-)
