Pool Pics

We've been taking full advantage of the community center in our neighborhood. It's free and safe and relaxing at the pool. I use the weight room to try to work off some of this "baby fat" while the kids play in the adjoining play room. There's a glass wall so we can see each other. Josiah goes in the gym to play basketball and there's a window into there as well.

It really has been important for me to keep a "positive mental attitude" (PMA). My "personal trainer" (which is what I've been calling my therapist, you know so I don't sound like a crazy woman....yeah, I know, there's no denying it. lol) has been giving me "homework". The ongoing homework is to get outside, get fresh air and exercise. She wants me to find a water ballet class and exercises for carpal tunnel syndrome, too. I think I'll just look online to find water exercises I can just do on my own.

Well, I've got about 6 weeks before me and the kids have to move out. Sgt Mulligan graduates from his school at the end of July (we will NOT be going to that! all the "maturity" I've been gaining will go right down the drain if I see his girlfriend. The latent teenage Baltimore girl in me will be hard pressed to be held back. That's MY husband and the father of my children. Best to avoid that scenario altogether. She's not really the problem, she's a symptom of HIS problem, but I'm not sure I'll remember that in the heat of the moment. My friend said she'd go with me and hold my ear rings for me. :-) ). He comes back here to clear the house and then go to Ft Bening, GA. For awhile, I haven't been getting on the ball with separate plans because I was really holding out hope we could stay together. But I can hear in his voice that he's moved on in his heart and I have to admit defeat. A hard pill for me to swallow. But oh well.......

But life is good despite all that. I wrote on a piece of paper and hung it on the cabinet: "We may not have much money for all the things we want but we have A LOT OF LOVE IN THIS HOUSE AND WE HAVE EACH OTHER". I put it where the kids could read it. I have to remember it myself.
