That Explains It!

Seeing the vanilla extract in the cabinet just now made me think of something funny. The girls I have coffee with in the morning already know about this. While I was waiting for my milk to froth for my espresso (and no, that didn't involve me jumping up and down rapidly. lol), I was reading the label on the vanilla extract. Well, to my surprise, there is 35% alcohol in that stuff! I looked at the alcohol content of a bottle of Kahlua in my cabinet and it was only 21%! Whoa, Nellie! No wonder I'm so happy in the mornings! lol I just thought it was the Cuban espresso. :-) I had switched to pure vanilla extract back around Thanksgiving when I had to replenish it. I like to say that I haven't been relying on alcohol to get through the demise of our family unit but apparently I have been! ROFLMBO!

LOL about the vanilla and kahlua! Too funny! I love Kahlua, it's good in coffee, it's good in milk, it's just GOOD!!! LOL

Morning coffee with the girls sounds like fun too, I might have to start making time in my mornings and getting the gumption to get out of the house and travel 8 miles to do that myself! (Yes, I live out in the sticks).

Have a great day!

Oh, one more thing, I hope you get your computer fixed/replaced soon, it sucks when they're down

Then there's me. . . the little Martha Stewart wannabe.

I make my own vanilla. . . I use a bottle of rum or vodka. Add in 4-5 vanilla beans that I've sliced into (not split) and let it steep for about 5 weeks.

YUM.
