The Dork in the Sweater

I am wearing a sweater right now! Oh yeah. Alright, big deal, huh? Well, it has been so humid here lately that I'm soaked by the time I walk the kids home from school. I hate it. But today....it's nippy outside (ok, so it's not even 9 am yet, but still). I opened all the windows to let the fresh air in, turned the AC off and realized that I was actually chilly. So I'm drinking hot coffee with a sweater on and fresh, cold air coming in my window. I'm as happy as a pig in mud right now. teehee I think I'll make some chili in the crock pot for dinner. Tomorrow may be shorts and tank top weather again.

The only disadvantage to having all the windows open is that the neighbors heard the dorky thing that I just did. We have been getting this "unknown caller" everyday lately. Doesn't speak, just sits there and then hangs up. Makes us crazy. Only a handful of people have our new number so I can't figure out who it is (Granny, is that you?? lol). Clint suggested not saying anything but just to pick up the phone and see if they are waiting for the next ring and say something. Well, I did that early this morning and eventually this young man's voice says, "hello" in an obnoxious way. I hung up. Then just now, he called back. I waited a second then I don't know what came over me but I let out this blood-curdling scream like Freddy Krueger just walked through the door. I don't think I've ever screamed like that before (ok, it actually felt good. lol). I hung up and was laughing all over myself until I realized that the window next to the phone was open and the neighbor's dog was barking like crazy (did he see Freddy Krueger, too? :-) ) Yeah, next time I think I'll just use a whistle to deter Mr. U.C. I'm surprised the MP's haven't shown up at my door. So that's my morning so far, the dork in the sweater. :-)

Hey dork in a sweater. .. you made me laugh out loud.

It's in the 50s here (just after 11) and although I think it's going to warm up a bit, I could use some hot beverage and some long sleeves.

I'll be watching the news for reports of a crazy woman in a sweater - sweating - being taken away because of the "voices" on the phone.

LOL
