I can't believe that I got Digi Pick of the Day for my layout, "Olivia the Dreamer", at Melissa's Digi Pick blog! Whoo Hoo! I found out because Lynn left a message for me in my email to congrat me. I love what Melissa said about the layout. I had just come home from counseling and feeling a little "raw", emotionally, and it really hit the tears button on me when I read it. It made me feel so good to know that what I was trying to convey was actually coming through in my art. I'm glad, also, that other's were inspired by it.
So, without further adieu.....here it is :-):

I love it when readers send me tips on great layouts that they have found. With so many digi folks out there posting to galleries, I know I am missing great stuff!!! So big thanks to Audrey Burke for pointing me towards OLIVIA THE DREAMER from Josoliviam. What a cool layout. The first thing that I noticed was the overlay on the photo! What a cool idea to have it cover only a portion of the photo! That is such an awesome look. It totally makes me feel like I am looking into a dream. I love the way she used the stick pin to anchor the overlay. What I love most is what this says about Olivia. This is journaling that this young lady will treasure for all of her life. This moment preserved with these words will be priceless to her forever. I find this layout to be so moving. I am actually tearing up as I picture a woman in her mid-thirties who might be having some doubts, who might be feeling a little lost and confused and she pulls out a scrapbook made for her, sees this layout, and finds the strength to carry on. "
